Sustainable Manufacturing : The Road to Unlocking Value for Organizations
Alucast is the Aluminium Casters' Association of India. Alucast, as a part of its Capability Building interventions for its members, has multiple Training Programs organised for its members.
Our Co-Founder & Director, Uday Sankar Yerramilli has been invited to address the Alucast members on the topic “Sustainable Manufacturing - The Road to Unlocking Value for Organizations”.
This session was orchestrated as a Fireside Chat anchored by Uday and Mr. T R Giridhar (Giri), an expert in the area of Sustainable Manufacturing. Uday and Giri have engaged key Alucast members introducing them to the topic of Sustainable Manufacturing and demystifying the various terminologies involved in the subject - ESG, Sustainability, Circularity, CSR, Ethics & Governance, Climate Change, Social Equity, Environmental Protection, SFDR, GRI, BRSR, etc. and why this subject is topical for the industry now.
From there, with relevant examples, they took the participants through select examples and case studies of Sustainable Manufacturing and how Organisations have holistically implemented these practices to unlock value. Giri also briefed the participants on the Challenges, Risks involved in SM, and talked about the Way forward for the Manufacturing organisations and a broad implementation framework.
